Houlkær by Heart is a festival created with heart, where we invite everyone to experience community, creativity, and visual experiences in all their forms. Over the course of three days, a diverse program offers exhibitions, workshops, debates, learning sessions, group singing, concerts, communal meals, film screenings, and much more for children, young people, and adults.
This year, as something truly special, the festival invites everyone to contribute to creating a beautiful artwork – “Houlkær’s Most Beautiful View” – together with artist Susanne Ahrenkiel, who will be holding daily workshops at the festival grounds next to Coop365. You can stop by and participate for anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours, regardless of age or experience. We guarantee it will be both fun and cozy!
To close out Houlkær by Heart, everyone is invited to the unveiling of the finished artwork, the awarding of the Houlkær Initiative Prize, and an atmospheric and poetic performance by artists Therese Bülow and Faun Vium, offering a glimpse into next year’s festival.
