John Kenn Mortensen was born in 1978 and grew up in a small town on Lolland. He lives in the Copenhagen neighborhood of Sydhavn with his wife and their two children. He has created tv series, illustrated books by major writers like Neil Gaiman, H.P. Lovecraft, and Roald Dahl, and written three novels. Mortensens work is characterized by a deep fascination of darkness, the unknown, death, destruction, and dark humor. In his own telling, his goal is to create a little annex to reality. He's building it for himself, but you're welcome to peek through the windows when he's not there. Should reality one day become too much to bear, he plans to move into the annex and take up permanent residence there.
