Would you like to be a part of Viborg Animation Festival 2024? Then join our amazing team of volunteers!

As a volunteer, you will become part of an engaged team and a creative community that is crucial for creating a great atmosphere and organizing the events that make up this year’s festival. We provide t-shirts, lunch, and great colleagues — you just need to bring a team spirit!

So if you’re interested in rubbing shoulders with animation veterans, becoming part of the VAF community, and not least, having a unique and fun experience, volunteering at VAF might be just the thing for you.

Note – There is an info night on August 20 at 6:30pm at VAF (Kasernevej 8, Viborg, 8800) where you can sign up for shifts, meet other volunteers, and ask questions!

What does a VAF Volunteer do?

As a volunteer, you can be involved in various tasks. Here are some of the most common ones:

  • Stand at the welcome booth
  • Present films
  • Decoration and cleanup
  • Guide VR experiences
  • Put up posters and distributing catalogs, postcards, etc.
  • Help with Viborg Game Expo

Below you will find the answers to the most FAQ about volunteering at VAF. Feel free to reach with any question!

Please don’t hesitate signning up, we are in search of all people of all ages!

Volunteer tasks primarily take place during the festival week (week 37) from September 9th to 15th.

Some volunteer tasks will take place the week before the festival.

Note: As a volunteer, you can choose which days you want to participate.

The entire festival, as well as all volunteer shifts, will take place in the city of Viborg. The primary location for volunteer shifts will be at Tinghallen (Tingvej 20, 8800 Viborg), the main area of the festival.

As a volunteer, you will be provided with food during the festival. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the volunteer coordinator: vgni@via.dk

You can definitely volunteer without speaking Danish.

If you get sick during the festival and are unable to attend your shift, you must contact your team leader. Together, you will find a solution.

Info night

Come to the info night on Tuesday, August 20 at 18:30 at VAF (Kasernevej 8, Viborg, 8800), where you can sign up for shifts, ask questions, and meet the other volunteers!

Pizza and drinks will be served (email vgni@via.dk regarding allergies, etc.).
