As a co-founder of Cartoon Saloon, Moore has helped set a new standard for independent animated filmmaking. The studio’s five most recent feature films have together received four Oscar nominations – a testament to the quality and integrity that define their work.

Tomm Moore is looking forward to visiting the creative animation environment in Viborg – a city that, with its status as a UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts, has achieved international recognition as a hotspot for animation and visual creativity:

I especially look forward to coming back to the school – The Animation Workshop – I have lots of friends and associates who come from Viborg or who’s been attending, so it is a place close to my heart. The VAF Artist, whose works and ideas challenge the status quo, personifies the very spirit of the festival in breaking down boundaries and cultivating an inclusive and inspiring artistic community.
